Who We Serve:


The target population for the Mountain Lakes Behavioral Residential Program includes individuals from Jackson and Marshall Counties who are 18 years of age or older and who meet the admission criteria. Referrals from State Psychiatric Hospitals or Community Mental Health Centers outside of Jackson or Marshall Counties are welcome.

What We Provide:


The Mountain Lakes Behavioral Healthcare Residential Program is designed to provide a safe and highly structured environment to promote an improved level of functioning for all consumers admitted to the program. Activities are designed to promote a healthy therapeutic environment twenty-four hours a day. The Program is composed of six residential environments which include the following:

     * Foster Homes
    * Residential Care Homes
    * Supervised Apartments

The three distinct levels of care provide an excellent opportunity to place clients in an environment that matches their functioning and skill levels.

Services provided to residential consumers include assistance in improving social and communications skills; assistance in medication management; assistance in developing and improving basic living skills/activities of daily living; assistance in applying for benefits; vocational services; community orientation; recreational and leisure life skills training; transportation to and from necessary community services and supports; education relating to psychiatric illness; and assistance in obtaining appropriate medical or dental care.
